Pitched 3944 (witbier) into 4L of wort.

I entered this into the 2011 UK NHC and picked up a third place. It's the same recipe as the Kiwit in the Sam Caligione book, which I made as Genghis Khan but with the Kiwi replaced by Passion Fruit. Overall it turned out really well and I was quite pleased with it. I took 6 Passion fruit, and removed the fruit and left the skins and other bits of nonsense behind. I added this in a hop sock at the end of the boil, and once the wort was cooled I tipped out the hop sock into the fermenter and let the beer ferment on the fruit. The steeping was enough to sanitise the fruit but it didn't lose much flavour - even the last bottle I had a really pronounced Passion Fruit flavour amongst the usual flavours in a witbier. Really happy with this one and will be doing either a Mango or Pomegranate version next. Green Teeth was from a record called Fantasmo by Crossover which was one of J's freebies and happened to be what I was listening to when I bottled it.
