This was a beer made with Crackers which we entered into the Thornbridge compeition. Stormbringer is the John and Beverley Martyn LP with the rather lovely Sweet Honesty on it. We were aiming for an Old Ale, hence the Chocolate Malt and Yeast selection. We went with all NZ hops but I think the selection was a bit muddy - I think if we did it again I'd go with just one. It was pretty lively in the bottle and unsurprisingly didn't place. To be fair, I'm not really sure what the characteristics of an Old Ale are - We based our decisions on the Ray Daniels book, but it didn't seem to be far off a hoppy ale. If I did it again I'd totally use Brett.
